Dendrobium anosmum is a large growing species found throughout S E Asia with lovely large strawberry pink flowers with a darker throat. Needs to be grown mounted (updide down on cork) as canes are pendant, this plant also needs a winter rest period (dryer and cooler).
These are healthy young plants growing in 6cm pots and should flower in the next 18+ months
Dendrobium aphanochilum is a small species from throughout Indonesia with delicate ivory blush flowers emerging from leafless canes. Best grown mounted so that the canes can hang naturally
Dendrobium christyanum is found from Thailand and Vietnam and is a small plant that produces 2 inch flowers in white with a striking orange throat, flowers are FRAGRANT. These are best mounted on to cork or similar
Dendrobium cretaceum (polyanthum) is a stunning species from Northern India though to China with 2 inch white/flush pink flowers with a large frilly edged white lip that has dark red veins at the base - quite variable in colour, these are produced from the leaf nodes. The flowers can appear on canes with or without leaves, highly fragrant, can be mounted or grown in a basket
Dendrobium cumulatum is found from Northern India right through to Borneo and is a warm growing species producing clusters of stunning up to 2 inch flowers in rose pink and with the sweet fragrance of vanilla
