GENERAL CARE

This slipper orchid has no special requirements to enable it to flourish. The standard fine bark or other open yet moisture retentive media is best used. A compost with added peat fibres and perlite can also be used.

WATERING

Use collected rainwater for these plants as the roots can easily be burnt and rot off if there is too much lime/salts in the water. Allow the water to get to room temperature before use and try not to get water in to the growths (clusters of leaves) or they may rot.

FEEDING

Use a general purpose orchid feed that is appropriate to the season.

REPOTTING

Re pot this slipper orchid every 12 to 18 months to keep it vigorous and giving it fresh compost to explore.
