MOUNTED ORCHIDS

Many of the orchids found here at Orchid Species are naturally epiphytic (grow on trees - most common) or lithophytic (grow on rocks - less common).

In this category we offer some orchid species which have been mounted on natural materials like cork chunks or branches as well as man mande materials like out mounting pads.

In this way you can grow them and see them how they would appear in the wild. These plants will need more care than their potted cousins and in many cases will need spraying with rain water on a daily basis
