This is crossed with Cattleya aclandiae which is a dwarf growing Cattleya from Brazil. It has super yellow/green flowers covered in dark red spots and a large frilly bright pink and purple lip - highly FRAGRANT and long lasting flowers. Encyclia radiata is a South American species found in Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama etc and has HIGLY FRAGRANT flowers that are carried upside down! Naturally an epiphytic orchid but equally at home in a pot these plants usually get to around 10 inches high. The flower spikes are carried at the top of the newly finished bulbs and are in clusters around a 6 inch long flower spike. The flowers are cream/pale green and the lip is help upright and has fine lines of purple/lilac - they look like cockleshells!
