This is a kit for mounting your epiphytic orchids on to, it's available in different sizes depending on your needs. Small is more miniature plants (most Aerengis for example), Medium is for Oncidium types and large is for Phalaenopsis and similar large plants. Cork is the most widely used material for mounting epiphytic plants on. Natural cork bark has a rough surface texture allowing your plants roots to grab hold. The kit includes the chunk of bark, a wire hanger (already fitted), a small pack of moss for packing around roots, raffia for tying and a plant label (you need to tell us the name of the plant) Approx average sizes are (in inches): Small £2.99: 4 x 3 Medium £3.99: 7 x 5 Large £4.99: 10 x 8

A superb miniature Madagascan species with the palest of green sepals and petals and an ice white lip - flowers are around 3 - 4 inches from top to bottom.

Flower lifespan is usually 4 - 6 weeks or more from bud opening to drop so is quite a long time. The flowers are fragrant during the day but only in the evening can you experience their intoxicating scent!

Angraecum didierii is available potted as near flowering size in 5.5cm pots with 12 months to flowering or flowering size in 8.5cm pots and capable of flowering/in flower depending on season

Also available are specimens mounted on cork for a more realistic look. The potted ones are easier to keep but the mounted ones look better (to me that is) but take more looking after

This is one of those species which just cause amazement when seen in flower. A species from Borneo with flowers along the same lines and Paph. Rothschildianum but this baby has very long and twisty garnet coloured petals - when I say long I mean 20 inch+ long! The flowers last well and are all out at the same time. A slow grower though. Leaf span on these is approx 18 - 20cm

Encyclia radiata is a South American species found in Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama etc and has HIGLY FRAGRANT flowers that are carried upside down! Naturally an epiphytic orchid but equally at home in a pot these plants usually get to around 10 inches high. The flower spikes are carried at the top of the newly finished bulbs and are in clusters around a 6 inch long flower spike.
